The Great Synagogue of Brussels, on Rue de la Regence, was completed in 1878.

A "stately Romanesque" building, the Great Synagogue was designed by Christian architect Desire DeKeyser.

The facade features a three-storied gabled midsection flanked by four-story towers.

This ornate building also houses several Jewish organizations, including the Jewish Consistoire and the Communaute Israelite de Bruxelles.

Brussels has over 20,000 Jewish inhabitants.
