Medieval stained glass depicting the Prophet in Bethel, who is warned not to leave the way he came (3 Ki 13:1-9). Right panel in the fourth register of the Second Typological Window (n. XV, 24) in the north choir aisle, dated to about 1180.
Neither the warning nor its consequences (he disregarded it and was eaten by a lion) are shown here; this shows the unnamed prophet prophesying against the altar with the golden calf set up by Jeroboam. It's also significant to know that this prophet predicted "behold a child shall be born unto the house of David."
This register (row) has the theme of warnings. Another parallel is vertical: Jeroboam's altar in this panel corresponds with Christ's altar in the second row above.
