Window 6 (Death of Christ) in the south wall of the chancel. From left: (1) Deposition from the Cross. Using a ladder, Joseph of Arimathea brings the dead body of Christ down from the cross, while Nicodemus stands ready to receive it. (2) The body of Christ is placed in a stone tomb. Joseph stands at the head; Nicodemus at the foot. (3) Harrowing of Hell. Christ rescues Adam and Eve and proclaims the good news to imprisoned souls.
