Temple Church, London

The Ten Commandments. Detail of the wooden altar in the chancel of the Temple Church, designed by famed architect Sir Christopher Wren (late 17th century). The altar was mercifully in a museum in Durham when the church was nearly destroyed in 1944. It has now been restored to its intended position.
