Nave Looking West
Nave Looking West

Nave of Angers Cathedral, looking west. The organ case dates from 1747 and the nave dates from the mid-12th century. The nave has no side aisles and is composed of three large sections, each covered with a large ribbed vault that anticipates the Gothic style. Hanging on the walls are the famous Angers tapestries, most of which date from the 14th century.
