Stoning of Stephen
The stoning of Saint Stephen. Stephen is the first Christian martyr and his death is recorded in the Book of Acts. A crowd gathers around from all sides of the capital, raising stones in their hands. Three stones are shown on Stephen's head, symbolizing those that have already struck.
