Chartres Stained Glass #64: Noah Window

The Noah Window is located at the west end of the north aisle. Like most of the windows in Chartres Cathedral, it dates from the early 13th century. It was sponsored by the coopers, carpenters and wheelwrights, who are depicted in the bottom panels. The remaining panels tell the story of Noah's ark, the flood, Noah's wine making and drunkenness. The story reads from bottom to top.
