The risen Christ appears to Mary Magdalene. "Jesus said to her, 'Mary.' She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, 'Rabboni!' (which means Teacher). Jesus said, 'Do not hold on to me [noli me tangere in Latin], for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God'" (John 20:16-17). Detail of the Passion Window, the left lancet window (as seen from the inside) beneath the west rose. One of only four windows dating from before 1150, it depicts scenes from the end of Christ's life, his passion and his resurrection.
