One of several charming observers that peer out of the stone "ribbon" encircling the tympanum over the west door. The meaning behind these intriguing figures is not known, but one possibility is that they represent the angels mentioned in 1 Peter 1:12 concerning the gospel: "These are things that angels long to know."
