Église St-Bruno des Chartreux is a Carthusian monastery church in Lyon, built in 1584 to accommodate monks travelling to the Grand Chartreuse near Grenoble, France.
The monastic buildings and the chapel were designed by Jean Maignan, and modified by Jean Delamonce.
In 1738, Soufflot built the elaborate ciborium (designed by Servandoni) and the high altar.
The church was closed during the Revolution, and it was in the end bought by the cardinal Flesh, Napoleon's uncle, who founded the Saint Bruno parish.
The Baroque facade was built by Bossan and Sainte Marie Perrin in 1871. Considered a masterpiece of Baroque art, it was recently restored.
