Detail of central west portal (c.1230). Stretching along the bottom of both sides of the portal are 14 vertical pairs of Virtues and Vices. The virtues are depicted symbolically in a medallion held by a female figure and the vices are represented by an animal or action scene. Unfortunately we neglected to take any photos of these panels, so this is cropped from a larger image of the portal and therefore quite blurry.
