Narthex Capital: St. John's Vision

St. John falls at the feet of the "one like a Son of Man" who appears to him in a vision with seven stars, as recorded in Revelation 1:17: "When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: 'Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.'" Romanesque capital in the narthex, or Tour de Gauzlin, of Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire Abbey, c.1070-80.
