Last Judgment Triptych by Jan Mostaert of Haarlem, c.1514. The painting shows the van Noordwijk family and in the background the Last Judgment. The arrangement of the picture shows a clear hierarchy: Christ enthroned on the rainbow as Judge of the world. Among them are the resurrected: on the left of the blessed and on the right the condemned.
This triptych is not an altarpiece, but above all a family portrait: the founder family dominates the foreground. With the world judgment as a background, it served as a reminder to the living.

Triptychon mit Jüngstem Gericht
um 1514
Das Bild zeigt die Familie van Noordwijk und im Hintergrund das Jüngste Gericht. Die Bildaufteilung zeigt eine klare Hierarchie: Christus thront oben auf dem Regenbogen als Richter der Welt. Darunter die Auferstandenen; links die Seligen und rechts die Verdammten.
Dieses Triptychon ist kein Altarbild, sondern vor allem ein Familienporträt: Im Vordergrund groß die Stifterfamilie. Mit dem Weltgericht als Hintergrund dient es als Mahnung an die Lebenden.
