Hotels in Bodhgaya

Hotel Bodhgaya Ashok, one of many hotels in Bodhgaya catering to pilgrims and tourists.

There are plenty of hotels to choose from in Bodhgaya. Examples include the Hotel Bodhgaya Ashok (pictured above), Hotel Siddharta International, the Siddharta Lumbini Hotel, Lotus Nikko Hotel, and the Royal Residency, all of which are modern, 3-star hotels.

If you prefer to stay in accommodations run by Buddhists, the Root Institute, a little out of town, is clean, quiet and set in a lovely garden. The Mahabodhi Society Rest House, close to the temple, is very convenient and along with the Burmese Temple is good for a long term stay.

See Journey to Bodh Gaya for a personal account of a pilgrim to Bodhgaya who stayed at the Lotus Nikko Hotel.
