Sant'Ambrogio: Ambo (c.1110): Last Supper?

Ambo (c.1110): Last Supper?

Relief on the balustrade on the north side of the marble ambo, made in the early 12th century (some sources say 1110, others 1143) and reconstructed after the roof collapsed in 1196. The relief depicts a sacred meal with 11 attendees, probably the Last Supper without Judas, but possibly the Agape meal. Sant'Ambrogio Basilica, Milan, Italy.
