Cypress Door (c.430 AD): Christ with Disciples

Christ with two disciples, probably Peter and Paul. It is difficult to see in this terrible zoomed-in photo, but Christ holds a spherical object. Most interpreters believe it is a pearl (Matthew 7:6, 13:46). Detail of early-5th-century wood door in the narthex.
