Cypress Door (c.430 AD): Miracles of Christ

Panels from bottom to top: (1) Christ appears to disciples after his resurrection (Luke 24:36-40; John 20:19). (2) Three miracles of Christ: raising Lazarus from the dead (John 11:1-44; multiplying loaves and fishes to feed five thousand (Luke 9:10-17; turning water into wine (John 2:1-10). (3) The earliest known depiction of the Crucifixion.
