A closeup view of eroded sandstone in the Siq at Petra. After the rock split to form the Siq, the waters of the Wadi Musa eventually found their way into the fault, laying a bed of gravel on the bottom and eroding the sharp corners into smooth curves, helped by the cool winds that still blow through the Siq.
