Something I'd wondered in the past when I saw sarcophagi in museums is, "What happened to the previous occupant?"
The village of Qanawat in Syria was part of the Decapolis, and was quite possibly visited by Christ on His way back to the Sea of Galilee from the region of Tyre and Sidon. (See Mark 7 for more details.) Qanawat is also notable for being on the mountain of Bashan.
