View from Mnajdra Temple
At dawn on the winter solstice, the sun shines diagonally across the chamber in a way that is supposedly significant. At the equinoxes, it illuminates the central passage. At the summer solstice, it doesn't do anything particularly interesting at all. But whatever time of year it was, inhabitants, worshippers, or whoever was inside would have had a great view over the sea.
