American Pilgrim Museum, Leiden

This unassuming museum in Leiden documents the history of the
Pilgrim Fathers who sailed to America (Gateway to Leiden).

The Leiden American Pilgrim Museum occupies a historic house where Pilgrim families may have lived.

The museum exhibits a variety of documents relating to the Pilgrims' 11 years of residence in Leiden before they left for the New World.

The museum also supplies a brochure that describes a self-guided walking tour of the city, which takes about an hour and includes the most important sites and monuments.
