Licensing Our Photos

All photos taken by the Sacred Destinations team are available as high-resolution stock images for use in websites, books, magazines or other publications. Our licensing rates depend on usage and are very reasonable compared to what many other photographers and stock agencies are asking.

Introducing Sacred Destinations Photography

In November 2008 we created a new website called Sacred Destinations Photography. Its many features include a searchable database, automated secure payments and instant downloads of high-resolution photos. You can search the database using the box on the right.

Image research and editing

In addition to the photos already published, we have thousands more images waiting on our hard drive - so if you have a particular photo need, please check the Photo List to see what's available and contact us with your inquiry. We will be glad to find and upload relevant photos for you. We can also do minor Photoshop corrections on request, in case you like a photo but it's too dark or a bit crooked!

How to license and download photos

If you would like to use an image you found on this website, please begin by searching for it at Sacred Destinations Photography. You can do that right on this page, by using the search box above. If you find your photo in the database, simply select the appropriate license, add it to your cart, and follow the instructions for secure payment and download.

If you do not find it in the database, please contact us with information about the image(s) you wish to use, including the site name (e.g. Lincoln Cathedral), image file name (e.g. xti_6743.jpg) or a link to where you found it, and a brief summary of how you plan to use it. We will upload it for you right away and provide you with a direct link by e-mail.

Photo prints

Photos of sacred places can make lovely prints for your wall! You can buy a print of any of our images through our partner, the Seattle-based printing service Imagekind.com. You can buy just a print or choose from lots of nice framing options. Simply contact us with the photo(s) you like and I'll upload them to our Imagekind gallery for you right away.

Free use in schools, churches, etc.

Teachers and students may use any of our images for class presentations, projects, lectures, homework - basically any use in school - under the principles of Fair Use. Churches, temples and other non-profit organizations may also use our photos internally free of charge, such as in sermons, Bible studies, presentations, etc. It is not necessary to ask permission for these uses, but please be sure to cite the source for the photo as Sacred Destinations, including the URL (www.sacred-destinations.com). For public use outside the organization (including books, magazines, promotional material, websites), the standard fees usually apply and you must contact us for permission.
