Churches

Sainte-Chapelle (Holy Chapel), Paris.
A church is any building used primarily for Christian worship.

Basilicas are major churches that are generally built in the Roman architectural style. Some basilicas are cathedrals, but many are not.

Chapels are small churches, or subsections within cathedrals.

Cathedrals are churches that contain the throne of a bishop; i.e. mother churches of a diocese.

This index lists all the churches, chapels, and basilicas – any church that is not a cathedral – profiled by Sacred Destinations.
