Museums

The world's great museums, while not "sacred" in themselves, are excellent places to explore the religious heritage of the world. In fact, often the most precious artifacts (statues, artwork, manuscripts) of ancient temples and churches have been removed from their original home to be protected and displayed inside a museum.
