The Lutheran World Federal Ecumenical Center, Geneva (LWF).

The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) is a global communion of Christian churches in the Lutheran tradition.

Founded in 1947 in Lund, Sweden, the LWF now has 138 member churches in 77 countries all over the world representing nearly 66 million Christians.

The Lutheran World Federation headquarters are based in Geneva, Switzerland at the Ecumenical Center.

This strategic location enables the LWF to maintain close cooperation with the World Council of Churches (WCC) and other Christian world communions as well as international secular organizations also based at the center.

The LWF Cabinet is made up of senior staff members from the headquarters. The Cabinet assists the General Secretary to carry out the decisions of the LWF Assembly and Council.

The Cabinet meets every two weeks and reviews and coordinates matters such as global developments, finance, programs and projects, personnel and administrative issues.
