How to Get to St. Gallen, Switzerland
St. Gallen is on the main train lines connecting Zürich with Munich. At least a dozen trains per day arrive from both directions. Travel time from Zürich is about 75 minutes.
As in most other Swiss cities, bus connections in St. Gallen are meant to supplement railroad service. Buses connect St. Gallen with such outlying villages as Rorschach and Appenzell, with many stops at local villages along the way. Call the tourist office (071/227-37-37) for more information.
By car from Zürich, drive east on N1 (also called E17).
