The shrine of the Emerald Buddha inside the main building (bot) of Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. The image is about 2 feet tall and approached only by the Thai king. The walls of the room are covered in murals depicting the life of the Buddha, steps to enlightenment, and the Buddhist cosmology of the Worlds of Desire, Being, and Illusion.
