We Recommend: PopOut City Maps

Below is a selection of "PopOut" maps for a variety of cities around the world. These are my very favorite travel maps - I even have a few for cities I have no immediate plans to visit! Here's why I like them so much:

they're easy to deal with - they fold out and in so easily that you won't have to wrestle with it on the street
they're discreet - I hate advertising that I'm a tourist, and these little maps are easily pulled out, consulted, and put away again
they're attractive - the map itself is nice to look at, with subdued colors and clear labels
they're useful - they show all the major attractions, and there's a street index on the back
they're inexpensive - most maps cost around $7.

The number of cities for which there are PopOut maps is sadly somewhat limited, but many popular destinations are covered. Big cities like London or Paris are great double maps - one more comprehensive map and the other with a closer view of the city center.
