Travel Warnings
From tsunamis to terrorism, today's world can sometimes seem like an unsafe place in which to travel. However, most of the world's greatest sacred sites and tourist destinations are no more dangerous than they were 10, 20 or 50 years ago, and most are just as safe as your hometown. If you arm yourself with some basic knowledge and common sense and choose your destinations wisely, safety concerns should not prevent you from seeing the world.
That said, it is important to check the current social, political and medical conditions of your destination before traveling, particularly if you are planning a trip to one of the world's more volatile areas.
