With a population of 3 million, Chicago is the biggest city in the Midwest and the third-largest in the United States. Its location on the southern shore of Lake Michigan has long made it a center of transportation, industry, trade, politics, culture and higher education. Famed for its magnificent skyscrapers, delicious pizza, jazz clubs, gangster history and sports teams, Chicago is also home to a great variety of churches and other religious sites. Among Chicago's many religious attractions are the only Baha'i House of Worship in the western hemisphere and a Unitarian church designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
