San Francisco is a compact city (about 7 square miles) of 750,000 people in northern California.

San Francisco is one of the country's most popular travel destinations, which is famously home to the Bay Bridge, steep streets, Victorian architecture, swanky boutiques, fine restaurants, cable cars, and the trademark dash of liberalism.

San Francisco's rich history of gold rushes, pioneers, Spanish missionaries and Asian immigration has also ensured the city is full of interesting religious sites: among them Chinese temples, museums full of Buddhist artifacts, Episcopal churches, Spanish missions and interesting examples of modern religious architecture.
