The Healing Center of Arizona in Sedona offers anything from an hour in a sauna to several days of holistic healing, reasonably priced vegetarian meals and as much acupressure, massage, yoga, nutrition counseling, herbology, tai chi, meditation and psychic channeling as you can handle.
The history of the Healing Center of Arizona actually begins in California, with the founding of the Healing Center of San Francisco by John Paul Weber and a group of other nurses who wished to heal others without drugs or surgery.
John Paul has degrees in nursing and psychology and is widely recognized as an expert in a variety of alternative medicines and traditional belief systems.
In 1979, John Paul founded the Healing Center of Arizona. With the help of donations from his students around the world, he was eventually able to build the present five-dome structure in Sedona, Arizona.
The Healing Center of Arizona describes itself as a "geodesic dome spa" that promotes general well-being. The interiors are decorated with spiritual art from around the word.
A retreat facility for individuals or groups, the Healing Center's facilities include an outdoor Jacuzzi, an indoor sauna, a steam bath, wooden decks with beautiful views, and spacious bathrooms with gardens.
Activities on offer at the Sedona Healing Center include meditation, swimming, hiking, firewalking, and lounging in comfortable chairs or in hammocks.
