Photo Gallery: St David's Cathedral

The beautiful choir is one of the glories of St. David's Cathedral. Here services are sung daily by the canons of the Cathedral Chapter.

The choir is directly under the cathedral tower; the central doorway in this photo passes through the pulpitum into the nave, where the pews are just visible.

The wooden choir stalls date from the late 15th to early 16th century, and have a number of unique and interesting elements. Especially notable are the choir's amusingly carved misericords, one of the larger collections in Britain.

The Bishop's throne, or cathedra, is also here in the choir.
