This wooden crucifix, which hangs suspended from the nave of St. David's Cathedral, is a fine 20th-century replacement for the destroyed medieval rood. The four points of the cross contain the symbols of the four evangelists (eagle, ox, man, and lion), and two angels comfort Jesus from above (the one on the right is holding his hand).
