This attractive 15th-century church is worth a quick look for its fine Manueline architecture.

The Igreja de São João Baptista (Church of St. John the Baptist) in Tomar is a 15th-century church built by King Manuel I. It is worth a quick look inside for its black-and-white diamond mosaics and white-and-gold Baroque altar. One of the chapels on the right side of the nave is faced with antique tiles.
