Great East Window: Central Panels

Center of the Great East Window (1350) in Gloucester Cathedral, with the Virgin Mary crowned and receiving the blessing of Christ. Both were originally enthroned; the lower part of the panel is a replacement. On the left is St. Peter, with a key and his abbey church (Gloucester Cathedral was formerly the Abbey of St. Peter) and on the right is St. Paul, with sword.
