Warming House
Warming house, looking east (ecclesiastical north) to the transept of the abbey church. A fire was kept burning continuously here from November 1 to Good Friday. The ruins date mostly from the late 12th century. Rievaulx Abbey, founded 1132. North Yorkshire, England.
