Apse Capitals: Weighing of Souls and Fighting Dogs
Capitals on the south side of the east apse, left of the window. The east face of the capital on the left depicts the Weighing of Souls by St. Michael, with devils being more aggressive than usual in trying to claim souls! The south face shows a small naked figure holding the hand of a larger clothed one; this must be a resurrected soul waiting for judgment or being ushered into heaven after judgment. The right capital shows dogs biting themselves and each other.
