Model of the Abbey
Model of Cluny Abbey in its heyday, on display in the granary. Seen here is the west end of the church with the Barabans towers added along with the antechurch (great porch) in 1130-90. The steps that lead down the hillside to the entrance are not reflected here. Tot he right of the church is the Gothic Palace of Pope Gelasius, added in 1300-30.
