Altar of Falsehood
The Altar of Falsehood, on the left (south) side of the southeast pier near the left transept. This mosaic dates from 1725-27 and is based on a painting by Roncalli, 1599-1604. It depicts a scene from Acts 5:1-11, where the couple Ananias and Sapphira lied to St. Peter and were struck dead.
