Drawing Room

The drawing room (sael), designed by the wealthy merchant owner to receive guests. Its stately furnishings make it one of the most impressive 17th-century rooms left in Amsterdam. The main artwork is a 17th-century Dutch copy of a painting by the Venetian Andrea Schiavone (1510-63) depicting the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple. Museum Amstelkring (Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder, "Our Lord in the Attic"), built 1661 inside a private house. Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
