Boynton Canyon is one of four rock formations in Sedona believed by New Age adherents to contain a power vortex. It is said to contain a balance of masculine and feminine energy. For non-vortex-enthusiasts, it is simply a wonderful place for hiking.

Located 8 miles west of the "Y" in Sedona, Boynton Canyon is one of the most beautiful spots in the area. The vortex here is considered a site of strong electromagnetic power, with a balance of masculine and feminine energy.

The Boynton Canyon Trail is a favorite with hikers, providing magnificent views of natural rock formations as well as several Sinagua cliff dwellings that are hundreds of years old.

Boynton Canyon Trail leads 3 miles up into the canyon from a parking area outside the gates of the luxury Enchantment resort (see map below right).
